Running for Cavell
Due popular demand, Joan Pons-Laplane is doing another Tweetathon. This time he will be taking part in the Rock & Roll Liverpool Marathon on 29/05/2016 to raise money for Cavell Nurses' Trust - he would really appreciate your support.
We've had the biggest financial crash in history, austerity and five years of pay stagnation for nurses have made that benevolent funds have seen a steady increase in nurses seeking financial aid and even help with basic necessities in recent years. A lot of Nurses are only one pay cheque away from poverty and I want to help them by raising funds for the Cavell Nurses Trust.
Cavell Nurses Trust is here for Nurses, Midwives, Healthcare Assistants & students suffering financial or personal hardship
You can find more information about the Charity here:http://https://www.cavellnursestrust.org/
Please consider a donation to support nurses. Any amount of money will help someone in crisis, however small.
Your donation can be the difference between survival and destitution for a nurse in crisis.
- £3 - pays for a day's heating for a nurse struggling with fuel poverty
- £8 - pays for a taxi fare to hospital for a midwife undergoing chemotherapy
- £40 - provides winter clothing for a healthcare assistant and her child facing hardship this winter
It can happen to any of us.
