Consultation on regional child protection/safeguarding policy and procedures

The Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland is currently consulting on a series of draft child protection/safeguarding policies and procedures. The consultation information is available via theSafeguarding Board for Northern Ireland website (http://www.safeguardingni.org/policies-and-procedure-committee) and the deadline is Monday 6 March 2017. The RCN is currently preparing its response and members in Northern Ireland who would like to contribute are invited to contact John Knape via john.knape@rcn.org.uk no later than Friday 24 February 2017.

Are you interested in attending RCN Congress 2017?

Are you an RCN member in Northern Ireland who is interested in attending Congress 2017? If so, a number of funding opportunities exist to support members’ attendance at RCN Congress, which takes place in Liverpool between 13 and 17 May 2017.

If you are interested in applying for funding to attend, please contact Edna Colhoun, Employment Relations Department Office Manager, via http://edna.colhoun@rcn.org.uk to obtain an expression of interest form and further information. The completed form will need to be returned to the RCN no later than 5.00pm on Friday 6 January 2017. Suggestions for potential agenda items to be discussed at RCN Congress can now be submitted by RCN boards, branches, forums or representative committee members. The closing date for submissions is 11 January 2017 and further information is available via https://www.rcn.org.uk/
